"Prehistoric" is about an animal spirit mysteriously arising from an ancient den beneath a home. Bubba is the son of a moonshiner farmer and his exploits making whiskey. Uncle Ess is about a backwoods patriarch and his game cocks. Deputy's Plot exposes a couple of fictional good 'ol boys' ill-fated plan to extort whiskey from a moonshiner. Hood Time takes the reader on a wild airplane ride by some innocents who have inadvertently become involved in a drug delivery gone awry. Workcoming is a sensitive story about two cancer survivors.
